on corporate “safe spaces”
What is a corporate "safe space"?

By a corporate “safe space,” we mean a separate, closed digital space to which only employees of your company have access. To gain access, employees need authorization, which is derived from their email address or ensured by a token. This ensures that only your employees (via company email or token) can enter this space (your corporate “safe space”).

However, registration still ensures complete anonymity. Your employees only use the nickname they chose during registration when navigating the company “safe space.”

The company “safe space” is not visible to the outside world; only your company’s employees can see this space.

Your added value: you have exclusive access to topics that would not otherwise be openly discussed.

Transparency helps to identify stressors and thus make them manageable.

How long is the duration of a project?

The platform is expected to run for at least one year. For purely topic-based evaluations, we need sufficient data that also includes different conditions and time periods. A sentiment barometer only makes sense if it can cover a longer observation period. This allows different peak phases within the company to be taken into account.

What method is used to evaluate the data?

Communication generates internal company data that can be evaluated using natural language processing. In the company’s “safe space,” we analyze only CONTENT, such as the connections between stress topics, causes and effects, clustering of topics, and sentiment analysis. Individual topics can be analyzed in terms of changes over time and also in peak phases. No personal references are made, as we do not process any personal data on the communication platform!

How is data protection ensured?

There is no personal data on the platform. Individual registration ensures that all users are only active on the platform with their individual nickname. There is no reference to departments, job titles, or hierarchy. Anonymization also provides users with a FAKE email address.

Personal data is stored on a separate, completely isolated server in Germany.

Better linked has its own data protection officer.

This is a space for communication without data leeches, data tracking, data exchange, or bots!

Wie erfolgt die Registrierung?

Each user registers themselves to use the platform. During this registration process, they choose their own nickname and password.

During registration, the data is completely anonymized. This ensures that each user on the communication platform only uses their own chosen nickname.

The link between personal data and anonymized profiles on the communication platform is established via a unique ID for each user.

These IDs are generated incrementally and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about personal data or the user. The link is stored as information in the customer management module as a 1:1 mapping.

Are there communication rules and moderation?

Trust is particularly important when dealing with such a highly sensitive topic. That is why we have established our own communication rules to ensure that exchanges between users are respectful.

The platform is moderated and curated. Experts are available to answer users’ questions based on their expertise. We provide regular support in the form of short workshops.

How much time is required for a project?

Your company does not need to assign a dedicated support person, but we would of course be delighted if you provided internal support. You serve as a role model within the company; by setting a good example, you credibly demonstrate that a good work-health balance is important to you.

Short kickoff meetings are usually helpful at the start of the project. We also support your colleagues during the project with written materials that you can use as reminders for your internal communication.

We also hold regular short workshops and Q&As on relevant topics on the platform.

Experience has shown that your employees spend a maximum of 30 minutes per week on the communication platform.
