What is a company “Safe Space”?

A company “Safe Space” is a dedicated, closed digital room that only employees of your company can access. To enter, employees need authorization based on their email address or secured through a token. This ensures that only your employees (via company email or token) can access your company “Safe Space.”

However, registration still guarantees absolute anonymity. Your employees only move around the company “Safe Space” with the nickname they chose during registration.

The company “Safe Space” is not visible externally; only your company’s employees can see it.

Your added value: You get exclusive access to topics that would otherwise not be openly discussed.

Transparency helps identify stressors and make them manageable.

How long is the duration of a project?

The platform duration is intended for at least one year. For purely topic-based evaluations, we need sufficient data covering various conditions and time periods. A mood barometer only makes sense if a longer observation period can be covered. This way, different peak phases in the company can be taken into account.

Which method is used to analyze the data?

Communication generates internal company data that can be analyzed using Natural Language Processing. In the company “Safe Space,” we analyze only CONTENT, such as correlations between stress topics, causes and effects, clustering of topics, and sentiment analysis. The topics can be tracked over time and during peak phases. No personal reference is made since no personal data is processed on the communication platform!

How is data protection ensured?

There is no personal data on the platform. Through individual registration, it is ensured that all users are active on the platform only with their individual nickname. There is no reference to departments, job titles, or hierarchy. Through anonymization, users also receive a fake email address.

Data with personal references is stored on a separate, completely isolated server in Germany.

Better Linked has its own data protection officer.

This is a space for communication without data tracking, data sharing, or bots!

How is registration carried out?

Each user registers themselves for platform use. In this registration process, they choose their individual nickname and password.

During registration, the data is completely anonymized. This ensures that each user only operates on the communication platform with their chosen nickname.

The link between personal data and anonymized profiles on the communication platform is established using a unique ID for each user.

These IDs are generated incrementally and allow no conclusions about personal data or the user. The mapping information is stored in the customer management module as a 1:1 mapping.

Are there communication rules and moderation?

Trust is particularly important when dealing with such a sensitive topic. Therefore, we ensure that communication between users is respectful by establishing our own communication rules.

The platform is moderated and curated. Experts are available to users for questions based on their expertise. We also regularly support with short workshops.

How much time is required for a project?

Your company does not need a dedicated support person, but of course, we welcome internal support. You serve as a role model within the company; by setting a good example, you credibly show that a healthy work-life balance is important to you.

Typically, short kickoff meetings are helpful at the beginning of a project. We also provide your colleagues with written materials during the project, which you can use as reminders for your internal communication.

We also hold short workshops and Q&As on relevant topics on the platform.

Based on experience, your employees usually spend a maximum of 30 minutes per week on the communication platform.
